Dungeness Crab Clusters Hot in Market Right Now, 2023 Dungeness Season Opening Update

Jan 23rd, 2023 - Dungeness Crab Clusters are very hot in the marketplace right now as Whole Dungeness does not seem to be available.

TradexLIVE
--- Latest pricing off our TradexLIVE Seafood Offers Portal show January 2022/December 2021 production Dungeness Clusters packed in 1x25lb boxes at $7.60/lb USD.

The lack in availability of new season Whole Dungeness is all-in due to obstacles and delays opening the Dungeness Fisheries from Washington to California.

A combination of on-going price negotiations, extreme winter weather, low Meat Fill, elevated levels of Domoic Acid, and Whale Entanglement Risk are all factors that delayed fishery openings resulting in lack of product in the marketplace.
